Congratulations Casey! 

In August, Casey Marin-McDaniel reached out to the Northern Macomb Foundation to request funding for an upcoming professional development workshop in Mexico City. The workshop focused on the latest advancements in the science of wellbeing, specifically within Positive Psychology. This workshop not only provided access to cutting-edge research, tools, and resources that would be directly applicable to enhancing programs at Romeo High School but would also allow Casey to showcase the work they are doing at the schools. 

Casey shared his experience with us below! 

"The conference was split into two parts (HSA Conference & International Hope Circuit). During the first part, I was honored to earn one of the 9 HSAx speaking positions out of the 150 + participants in attendance (which was also broadcasted live to the HSA (Happiness Studies Academy) global community. In a 3-5 weeks I will be sent a recording of my speech, and will be sure to share with you. I was able to share how fortunate I am to work at such an amazing school, which is one of the few institutions in the world to offer Positive Psychology to High School Students as an elective.
